नई दिल्ली। भारत के सार्स-कोविड जीनोम कंसोर्शियम के वैज्ञानिक सलाहकार मंडल के चीफ डॉ. शाहिद जमील ने पद से इस्तीफा दे दिया है। उन्होंने न्यूज एजेंसी रॉयटर्स को इस बारे में जानकारी दी है। सीनियर वायरोलॉजिस्ट डॉ. जमील ने कुछ दिन पहले एजेंसी से कहा था कि भारत में अधिकारी सेट पॉलिसी के तहत सबूतों की ओर ज्यादा ध्यान नहीं दे रहे हैं। न्यूयॉर्क टाइम्स में लिखे एक आर्टिकल में डॉ. जमील ने कहा था कि भारत में वैज्ञानिक साक्ष्यों के आधार पर पॉलिसी बनाने को लेकर अड़ियल रवैये का सामना कर रहे हैं।

Senior virologist Dr. Jamil had told the agency a few days ago that the authorities in India are not paying much attention to the evidence under the set policy. In an article written in the New York Times, Dr. Jamil had said that in India, scientists are facing a stubborn attitude towards policy making based on evidence.
